7. WRITTEN MOTION, Councillors Martins, Lopes, Abreu, Oliveira, Rebeiro, Bousquet, Council President Morad, Councillors Carney, Coelho, Winterson and Gomes, requesting, that a letter be sent to MassHealth expressing our support of the proposed rate increase for Adult Day Health Programs which protect our Seniors safety, saves the State money and assists with their healthcare requirements; and further, that this letter be read aloud at the Adult Day Health Rate Hearing, on March 21, 2016, as written testimony; the current rate was based on Adult Day Health costs in 2009 (base year, and have resulted in several programs closing and many more on the brink of closure.
