ANTI-LITTER CAMPAIGN

14. WRITTEN MOTION, Councillor Coelho, in consideration of the Summer season and the increase of litter on the streets Citywide, requesting, that the Committee on Appointments and Briefings review the matter of litter, including an informational campaign, possibly posting signs in both English and Spanish as a reminder to people of the importance of picking up after themselves; and further, using these signs to enforce the current litter Ordinance; and further, that we look into obtaining funds from the State to assist us in this anti-litter initiative. (To be Referred to the Mayor, Health Department Director, Dr. Brenda Weis, Department of Inspectional Services, Commissioner Romanowicz and Department of Facilities and Fleet Management Commissioner, Kenneth Blanchard.)
