REPORT - WAIVING FEES FOR ORGANIZATIONS

7. REPORT, Committee on Appointments and Briefings, recommending that the City waive all costs/fees for all non-profit organizations holding events throughout the City of New Bedford that contribute to drawing a tourism base for the City and its people; and further, that the Committee on Appointments and Briefings look to create a mechanism that allows the City Council to review event fees/charges before the organizations are billed so that the City Council becomes the controlling entity in granting the waiver of fees as opposed to the Mayor; and further, that a list of local non-profit organizations be developed by the appropriate departments and forwarded to the City Council.
