10.     WRITTEN MOTION, Councillors Abreu, Martins, Council President Lopes and Councillor Dunn, requesting that the City Council go on record in support of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 888 opposition to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) privatization of staffing proposal of the New Bedford/Fairhaven Bridge, the New Bedford/Fairhaven Bridge conducts on average 5,000 bridge openings per year for roughly 90,000 vessels, and it is imperative that such operations continue to remain staffed by our locally-sourced and community-invested workforce.
