5.         REPORT, Committee on Public Safety & Neighborhoods, recommending to the City Council to take “NO FURTHER ACTION” on the WRITTEN MOTION, Council President Gomes, requesting, that Superintendent Durkin and the School’s Transportation Director take another look at bus transportation for our City’s schools; the elimination of bus transportation has caused traffic gridlock at some area schools in the City and has increased the amount of vehicular traffic at the opening and closing of the school day, which is now causing an unsafe situation that needs to be addressed.
