1. COMMUNICATION, Council President Abreu, to City Clerk/Clerk of the City Council Dennis W. Farias, calling a SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL for TUESDAY, MAY 10, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., in CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, SECOND FLOOR OF CITY HALL, for the celebration and awarding of official City Council Citations and Resolutions.
2.         CITATIONS, Councillors Gomes and Morad, honoring Paramedic Ivan Brody, Paramedic Jack Harrison, and Paramedic Jacob Hughes, in recognition of their heroic and lifesaving resuscitation efforts of a three-month-old baby boy in cardiac arrest; and further with heartfelt gratitude for your dedication to the safety of the citizens of the City of New Bedford.
3.         CITATIONS, Councillors Gomes and Morad, honoring Paramedic Michael Botelho, Paramedic Ivan Brody, EMT Sara Reis and Paramedic Erin Souza, in recognition of their heroic and lifesaving rescue efforts of a 57-year-old male resident who collapsed while out on his daily run; and further with heartfelt gratitude for your dedication to the safety of the citizens of the City of New Bedford.
4.         CITATIONS, Councillors Gomes and Morad, honoring EMT Ryan Noonan, Paramedic Troy Selley, Paramedic Glen Stys and Paramedic William Sullivan, in recognition of your heroic and lifesaving rescue efforts of a 21-year-old male resident found unresponsive in his vehicle; and further with heartfelt gratitude for your dedication to the safety of the citizens of the City of New Bedford.
5.         CITATIONS, Councillors Gomes and Morad, honoring Paramedic Ryan Grasela, EMT Patrick Leaver and Paramedic Anthony McCauley, in recognition of your heroic and lifesaving rescue efforts of a 70-year-old male who collapsed and experienced a heart attack in the parking lot at Market Basket; and further with heartfelt gratitude for your dedication to the safety of the citizens of the City of New Bedford.
6. CITATION, Councillors Dunn, Morad and Pereira, honoring MICHAEL LEWIS, in recognition of being ranked Number 1 Seed in the United States as a Taekwondo Red Belt, at the young age of 14, attained the rank of Black Belt in Taekwondo and was selected in 2021 to train with the Olympic National Team.
7. CITATION, Councillor Morad, honoring NEW BEDFORD CABLE ACCESS, in recognition of being  honored as the 2021 Overall Excellence Award winner by the National Alliance for Community Media for outstanding community media production and creative and professional programming for New Bedford residents.     
8. CITATIONS, Councillor Morad, honoring CHARLENE ROCHA ARRUDA, MATTHEW ARRUDA and KEVIN BELLI, NEW BEDFORD CABLE ACCESS, in recognition of winning the 2021 First Place Award and outstanding recognition from the Alliance for Community Media in the category of General Talk Show.
9. CITATIONS, Councillor Morad, honoring DANA DEBARROS and SUZANNE RICHARD, in recognition of their winning the 2021 First Place Award and outstanding recognition from the Alliance for Community Media in the category of School and Educational Programming. 
10. CITATIONS, Councillor Morad, honoring JAMES MARSHALL and SUZANNE RICHARD, in recognition of their winning the 2021 First Place Award and outstanding recognition from the Alliance for Community Media in the category of the documentary – “A Cranberry Harvest”.
11. CITATION, Councillors Baptiste and Morad, honoring OLD BEDFORD VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, in recognition of their 25th Anniversary Celebration and with sincere appreciation for the commitment to advancing environmental and social justice issues in the Greater New Bedford community.
12. CITATION, Councillor Lima, honoring LYNN COISH, in recognition of her many years of Volunteerism and Dedicated Service to Operation Clean Sweep.
13. CITATIONS, Councillors Pereira and Gomes, honoring New Bedford Police Officers DAVID WALLANT, JENNY ROMAN, TREVOR BETTENCOURT and ROBERT GREEN, in recognition of their outstanding bravery in the line of duty at the 34 Sidney Street house fire.
14.       RESOLUTION, Councillor Gomes, honoring CYNTHIA TORRES, 2021-2022 Standard-Times Girls’ Swimmer of the Year.

15. RESOLUTION, Councillor Morad, honoring MARK D. MCGRAW, on the occasion of his retirement as Director of Emergency Medical Services for the City of New Bedford. 

16. RESOLUTION, Councillors Baptiste, Morad and Pereira, honoring YOUR THEATRE, INC. in recognition of the occasion of the celebration of their 75th Anniversary.
