SPECIAL MEETING


		1. COMMUNICATION, Council President Morad, to City Clerk/Clerk of the City Council Dennis W. Farias, calling a SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL for THURSDAY, JANUARY 18, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., in CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, SECOND FLOOR OF CITY HALL, for the celebration and awarding of official City Council Citations and Resolutions.

		2. CITATION, Councillor Carney, honoring the NEW BEDFORD CATHOLIC WOMAN’S CLUB, in recognition of their 100th anniversary and a century of charitable, cultural and religious endeavors in the community.

		3. CITATION, Councillor Rebeiro, honoring TREJON LOPEZ, in recognition of his demonstration of leadership through kindness and care for the elderly.

		4. RESOLUTION, Councillor Dunn, honoring CYNTHIA RODRIGUES, former President of the Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council, in recognition of her retirement after thirty years of leading the Labor Council and promoting a better future for working families.

		5. RESOLUTION, Councillors Gomes, Rebeiro, Carney and Lima, in honor and celebration of BLACK HISTORY MONTH - FEBRUARY 2018.
