1. WRITTEN MOTION, Councillors Dunn, Abreu, Giesta, Gomes and Lima, requesting, that the Committee on Ordinances look into drafting an Ordinance that would require the City of New Bedford to provide its Citizens with easier access to Voter Registration Forms, specifically by placing said forms at locations where residents might come into contact with City services, such as Community Centers, Public Libraries, Schools, City Hall, in order to increase access to voter registration by making said forms available at different locations and increase participation in the election process. (Ref’d 4/26/18)

WRITTEN MOTION, Councillor Rebeiro, requesting that the Council explore the opportunity to become a Human Rights City and discuss the research done by U/Mass Dartmouth students during a Committee on Ordinances meeting as to the benefits to the Citizens and what this entails in greater detail. 3. WRITTEN MOTION, Council President Morad, requesting that the Committee on Ordinances review the City Code, specifically Section 22-15; Snow and Ice - Removal From Sidewalks; Required, in an effort to determine if changes should be made to said Code Section as currently written. Chairman Suggests ‘No Further Action’ and ‘Report Out to the Full City Council’

4. WRITTEN MOTION, Councillors Rebeiro, Abreu, Dunn, Carney, Martins, Council President Lopes and Councillors Morad and Gomes, requesting that the Committee on Ordinances amend Chapter 15, Article VI – Planning Board Licenses and Permits, Section 15-100 Outdoor Café Permits, to allow year round outdoor dining with the placement of seating and tables as well as any legal accompaniments to the standing establishments; and further that this matter be heard when the Committee reviews the newly submitted Outdoor Café Permit Ordinance. (To be Referred to the Committee on Ordinances, and that Representatives of Inspectional Services, Planning Board and the Licensing Board, along with Restaurant Owners and Abutters be invited to said meeting.)
