WRITTEN MOTION, Councillor Lopes, requesting, on behalf of Sun Multisport Events, that the following street(s) be CLOSED: East Rodney French Boulevard will be closed in both directions between South Rodney French Boulevard and David Street; David Street will be closed in both directions between East Rodney French Boulevard and Cleveland Street; Cleveland Street will be partially closed between David Street and Mott Street; Cleveland Street between David Street and Mott Street will be divided down the middle with traffic cones; the east side of the road will be for cyclists that will ride from David Street to Mott Street and the west side of Cleveland Street will be for vehicles to drive from Mott to David Street; Mott Street closed in both directions between Cleveland Street and East Rodney French Boulevard; South Rodney French Boulevard will be closed between East and West Rodney French Blvd in both Directions; West Rodney French Boulevard will be partially closed between Bayview Street and Valentine Street; West Rodney French Boulevard between Bayview Street and Valentine Street will have 2 lines of cones placed on the road to create 3 lanes – 2 lanes for bikes, 1 lane for cars. The car lane will be furthest from Clark’s Cove and allow cars to travel north on West Rodney French Boulevard. The 2 bike lanes will be the 2 lanes closest to Clark’s Cove with one lane for cyclists to ride north and one lane for cyclists to ride south; West Rodney French Boulevard closed in both directions between Valentine Street and Willard Street, a road management crew will place barrels, barricades and traffic cones on the roads impacted by this plan between 4:30 A.M, until 7:00 A.M., the closure of roads will begin at 6:45 A.M for the race to be ready to start at 7:30 A.M., all roads associated with this plan are expected to be open for traffic to flow normally by 11:30 A.M., ON SUNDAY, JULY 21, 2019, FROM 7:30 A.M. TO 2:00 P.M., for the purpose of THE WHALING CITY TRIATHLON.

WRITTEN MOTION, Councillor Lopes, requesting, that the following street(s) be CLOSED: NINA STREET, from East Rodney French Boulevard to Seaview Terrace, to the West End of the intersection so traffic may not enter Seaview Terrace, ON THURSDAY, JULY 04, 2019, FROM 10:00 A.M., TO 10:00 P.M., for the purpose of A Neighborhood Block Party.

WRITTEN MOTION, Councillor Gomes, requesting, that a letter be sent to Erik Rousseau, SRTA Bus Company, requesting their support on behalf of the senior population at Tripp Towers, asking that SRTA Bus Company reverse their decision to eliminate bus service to STOP and SHOP on Dartmouth Street for seniors residing at Tripp Towers due to the large population of resident seniors that depend on that service for shopping, banking and pharmacy service; and further, that Mr. Rousseau meet with the Committee on Appointments and Briefings to discuss the impact that this will have on the senior population that depend on this service, and in some cases this is their only means of transportation for their quality of life and needs. (To be Referred to the Committee on Appointments and Briefings and Waive Rule 40.)
