NOTE:
THIS MEETING IS BEING HELD REMOTELY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS’ MARCH 12, 2020 ORDER SUSPENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE OPEN MEETING LAW G. L. C. 30A, SECTION 20 AND THE CITY COUNCIL’S VOTE TO WAIVE RULE 21A

1.     COMMUNICATION, Council President Lopes, to City Clerk/Clerk of the City Council Dennis W. Farias, calling SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, to be held remotely for MONDAY, AUGUST 10, 2020, at 6:15p.m., approve a new polling location for Ward 1, Precinct 1D, at Our Lady of Fatima Church and approval of the Election Warrant for the Presidential Primary to be held on September 1, 2020.

2.     COMMUNICATION, Manuel DeBrito, Board of Election Commissioners, to City Council, requesting approval of a change in a polling location for Ward One, Precinct 1D from Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Massachusetts to Our Lady of Fatima Church due to minimize the potential exposure to our poll workers and Ward 1 voters to COVID.


3.     COMMUNICATION, Manuel DeBrito, Board of Election Commissioners, to City Council, submitting the Election Warrant for the Tuesday, September 1, 2020, Presidential Primary, the warrant needs to be signed by the majority of the City Council and must be posted on the 7th day prior to the Election date as mandated by M.G.L. c43, §44A, a copy of this warrant will be posted at each polling location.
